No. A soft pull does not impact your credit score — only hard pulls do. We start with a soft pull only. A hard pull only happens once you've decided to formally apply and given explicit permission.
We work with self-employed buyers every week. We offer traditional programs (using tax returns) AND non-traditional programs like bank statement loans that qualify you based on actual deposits — perfect if your write-offs make your tax return income look too low.
It varies by program. VA loans require $0 down for eligible veterans. FHA loans require 3.5%. Conventional loans can go as low as 3%. Many buyers also qualify for down payment assistance programs that cover most or all of the down payment.
